Following the completion of its $13.5 billion acquisition of Interpublic Group (IPG) on November 26, 2025, Omnicom announced it will cut approximately 4,000 positions globally to achieve merger synergies. CEO John Wren stated that the majority of job cuts are expected by the end of December 2025. The layoffs primarily affect administrative roles, with some leadership positions also impacted. This represents about 3% of the combined company's 128,200 headcount. The merger has already resulted in 6,200 total job cuts (3,200 by IPG earlier in 2025 and 3,000 by Omnicom after the deal announcement).
