FormFactor, a Livermore-based semiconductor testing equipment company, plans to lay off 220 workers and close two California facilities as part of a cost-cutting restructuring. The company will close its Baldwin Park site on January 30, 2026, eliminating 113 jobs, and shut its Carlsbad facility in mid-December 2026, cutting another 107 jobs. Affected roles include technicians, engineers, managers, assemblers and other workers. The restructuring is intended to better align costs and improve gross margins, with the company consolidating operations amid tariffs, slower growth and margin pressure.
