Houston-based oil giant ConocoPhillips announced plans to cut up to 25% of its global workforce (up to 3,250 employees) by the end of 2025. The layoffs are part of a broader restructuring effort to reduce costs amid lackluster oil prices and following the company’s $17 billion acquisition of Marathon Oil.
