Telstra may cut up to 650 roles in a new redundancy round affecting its Telstra Enterprise and Telstra Consumer divisions, according to ABC News. The report says CEO Vicki Brady told staff that around 442 roles may no longer be required if Telstra proceeds with a five-year strategic partnership with Infosys, which would move some work to the India-based technology and outsourcing company. Separately, another 209 roles are expected to be cut through Telstra’s joint venture with Accenture, where some work may be shifted to AI systems and a specialist hub in India. Telstra framed the cuts as part of efforts to reduce complexity, improve competitiveness, and support its Connected Future 30 strategy, which includes deeper AI integration across the business.
