Sapiens is reportedly preparing to cut about 700 to 800 jobs, roughly 15% of its global workforce, shortly after Advent completed its $2.5 billion acquisition of the Israeli insurance software company. The layoffs are expected in January 2026, after the U.S. holiday period. Israel is expected to see only several dozen layoffs initially, partly because Sapiens’ core insurance product, Idit, is developed there. Advent is reportedly seeking to reduce lower-growth, less-profitable services activity and focus Sapiens on a smaller set of more profitable products, including SaaS/cloud and AI-driven insurance software. The company has also undergone a leadership shakeup, with longtime CEO Roni Al-Dor set to step down on December 31, 2025 and Advent-appointed Mike Ettling serving as active chairman and interim CEO.
